Levent Beker is an assistant professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Koç University. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Middle East Technical University. Then, he obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley followed by a postdoctoral study at Stanford University. His research focuses on bio-resorbable/wireless implants and flexible/stretchable sensors for haptic feedback and prosthetic applications. He received Marie Curie Reintegration Fellowship, Postdocs at the Interface award from Stanford University, Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) International Researcher Fellowship, Best poster award at Berkeley Sensor Actuator Center’s Industry Advisory Board Conference, Outstanding presentation award at Transducers 2013 Barcelona, and Best Thesis award from Middle East Technical University as well as several other project and patent awards.
